Ready! Set! Quilt!

Our latest quilting project, Ready! Set! Quilt! is a great place to start for a sewist excited to make a quilt or continue on from our 321 Quilt! class.

Ready! Set! Quilt! begins with making our modern variation on a stacked coin quilt top. By making the quilt top, students will gain an understanding for using a rotary cutter and ruler, and various quilt piecing techniques. After the quilt top is complete, students will baste their quilts, pinning all layers together and then stitch the layers together using a walking foot. To finish the quilt, students will learn how to make binding and attach it to their quilt.

Finished Quilt Size:  Lap Quilt. 39″ X 51″ (99 X 130 cm)

Some outside homework may be required. The class is scheduled first thing in the morning to give students the opportunity to use the Sewing Lounge after class to complete their homework.

Sewing Machine 101 or equivalent, plus experience successfully completing a few other sewing projects is required for this class.
