Handmade Placemats

Handmade placemats are a unique way of adding an extra touch to what could be an everyday meal. We love using our brightly coloured, stylish fabrics in our home, and placemats are a perfect way!

Using one fabric for the front, and a second coordinating print for the back and border, create a set of reversible placemats.

During the class we’ll discuss how to use fusible interfacing and create the placemats using wrap-around binding, a technique that can be transferred to a number of projects including making table runners, napkins or quilts.

Material requirements will be for a set of 4 placemats.

Sewing Machine 101 or equivalent experience is required for this class.
