Class Policies

The majority of classes at Spool of Thread are limited to 6  students for best instruction. Occasionally, classes do fill to 8 students.

A minimum of 4 students is required for a class. Each student has full access to our sewing machines during class times. 1 sewing machine can not be shared by 2 students.

A minimum age of 16 is required for our classes, unless otherwise noted. Our Teen Classes are for students 12 and older.

To ensure the best instructors, we require a 50% nonrefundable, non-date transferable deposit to hold your seat in the class. If a class is canceled by Spool of Thread, your deposit will be fully refunded or the dollar amount applied to another class or store credit. Full payment is due on or before the class date.

To register, please stop by the shop or call us at 604-879-3031. Payment can be accepted over the phone with a Visa or Mastercard.

Shortly after registration, we will email you a a full list of materials required for the class. Materials and supplies are not included in the class fee unless otherwise noted. All supplies required for all sewing classes can be purchased from Spool of Thread.
