I read this great article tonight about "Fire and Motion" from Joe on Software about when he is motivated and when he isnt. As Paper Bride pointed out on her great blog (where i found the article) that even though each of us has her own craft, and i am sure not a programmer, that joe still has a really good point. And despite my anti-war views, the article still make sense when trying to beat a problem.
Who knew that life would all go back to Newton's first law? a body in motion, stays in motion unless affected by another force. and, it would be an added perk if your motion is in a forward direction. Lately, it seems as though ive been a little stuck dot. In reality, i'm not. Ive been studying for midterms, reading lots about women's history in the 20th century, playing with clay and working on new projects, including this blog. All of these are very inspirational, but i also have an inner need to get back to my sewing love.
As joe states in the article, the easiest the way to break your lazy time, is to force yourself to actually do something. once you start, you'll be on a roll. this week is going to be a little too hairy to start my rolling, but im sure a little me - time sewing would help. tomorrow night i am planning on working on either some new felt pins for iglubu(a lion and a lamb in honor of march!) or this adorable pattern from Wee Wonderfuls:
I am heading home on thursday, and i am sure my mom would love a pointy kitty! i also have to make one for myself, of course, to celebrate my new found motion.
